INDIVIDUAL THERAPYWe often live in states of unconscious behavior and don’t realize the repetitive cycles that make us unhappy. I provide individual therapy for a range of issues, and have extensive experience treating anxiety and depression, eating disorders, and relationship problems.
In our sessions (usually weekly), you’ll get to know yourself and your desires really well. Through this work together you'll gain greater self-awareness, and find new ways to deal with life’s complicated issues. |
COUPLES THERAPYWe often experience dynamics in relationships that leave us feeling disconnected from each other. The result can cause arguments, feelings of loneliness, and a loss of intimacy between partners.
I've worked extensively with couples in conflict. Couples therapy provides a safe space for you to talk openly and honestly about your feelings of disconnection. As you develop the skills to listen and hear one another, growth and change become possible. |
TEENAGE THERAPYNo parent wants to see their teen struggling and in pain. I grew up in New York City and went to high school at Horace Mann, so I understand the kind of pressure teenagers face here. I’ve provided teenager therapy in my private practice for many years and also worked in public and private schools as a social worker.
Although teenage depression is surprisingly common, it is extremely treatable. High school is a time when kids are trying to formulate a sense of identity. They want to figure out who they are and what matters to them independent of their parents. Talking to someone they trust about all of that can provide significant relief. |

During your session, we look at how you’re feeling in the moment. I try to help increase your awareness of the emotional patterns you're living with in your day-to-day life. Gestalt therapy calls this bringing the ‘here and now’ into the session.
The more self-aware you become the easier it is to identify what makes you happy and what doesn’t. As you grow in self-acceptance new ways of living your life become possible. |

If we agree it's a fit, we'll set up an appointment for our next session. I'm looking forward to meeting you. |
